Dress Down 02:03
Dress down, we just spent the entire day running around. Can we take off our sneakers? Put something on the speakers? We'll make a little dinner, close the windows to the winter. And it's so quiet. We can't hear a sound. There's a wonderful, wonderful thing about now. I don't know, but something about you makes me feel like love is something new. When we dress down. When we dress down. Whenever you need me I'll be around. I don't know, but there's something about you. Dress down, we've been trying for weeks now. It's time to go to sleep now, keeping the peace while we're falling apart.

We 02:25
We just died, I went to heaven. Everything's better now that we're separate. No more fights, no disrespect. No more nights that we'll regret. You called on the telephone, “Come over here.” “I need to be alone.” We both know we had a good run. It's been fun, but now it's done. When we died, I went to heaven. Everything's better, now that we're separate. Finally figure who I am. You found yourself another man. Everyone starts out crying. Pretty soon the pain's subsiding. Take a breath, open up your eyelids. You'll be fine. You'll survive this. Without you, I'm in heaven. Never thought it'd be this different. Nowadays, the world is mine (still think of you from time to time). Never thought I'd come in second. Never though I'd be rejected. Boxed up in a lonely winter, never thought be so bitter. Everyone starts out crying. Pretty soon the pain's subsiding. Take a breath, open up your eyelids. No man is an island unto himself.

Turn Off 02:39
Doesn't matter how the cue is laid, only matters how the game is played. Wind blew our windows on the parkway. This started off as a really good Wednesday, but good things have to end. You know they do, my friend. Doesn't matter if we work it out, only matters what will happen now: sitting there with your face chopped down. Somewhere there's something that wants to turn you off. Time is an angry ax thrown at silent clock. One day when you're finally nixed. You taste the air for one more sip. On the day that they close your book, you feel the sky for one more look. Listen up pal, you're going down. Ashes to ashes, they all fall down. Somewhere there's something that wants to turn you off. Time is an angry ax thrown at silent clock.

Your Dog 03:07
You always really loved your dog. I know that you miss him, all right. I don't usually dance the whole night long, but I want you to be happy tonight. Let's forget everything. Let's forget every goddamn thing. Whatever meant anything will be there when the morning comes again. All jokes aside, I really like learning all these different things about you. Isn't it strange how every face is also its own universe too? Come on over, we're not so far away. Pretty soon I'm believing it. When a feeling isn't leaving sometimes you lean into it. Let the wind the carry on. If something good will happen, then let that something come along. Whatever meant anything will be there when the morning comes again. You always really loved your dog. I know that you miss him, all right. I don't usually dance the whole night long, but I want you to be happy tonight. Let's forget everything. Let's forget every goddamn thing. Whatever meant anything will be there when the morning comes again.

Arrow 03:24
It's not a dream, but if it were it would be a really, really good dream. I fell asleep on the floor. I woke up- you were knocking on my door. After you let an arrow fly, it's out of your hands and into the sky. And you say, “I don't think that I'm gonna make it. I don't think I can hit the target.” I miss, but I try, maybe I could love you, but getting cut loose would be no picnic, true. You aim pretty well and you pull back hard. And now the shot is out of your arms. It's not a dream, but if it were it would be a really, really good dream. I fell asleep on the floor. I woke up- you were knocking on my door. And this has never happened to me before, feels like a story pulled from a movie store. I fall asleep and I can't believe this is real life; it's not a dream.

Jazz Albums 02:34
I listened to jazz albums all afternoon, soon it was dark and snowing outside. I went to the balcony stood in the snow: the lights on the river not moving at all. Have to stay busy to ward off the blues. The weight of the world is under your shoes, but unfitted freedom don't suit him at all. Need more than music to fill up these walls. Night time. Cold rain. Forget her, but remember her name. Ghost ship. Coltrane. Let's go uptown, we'll have a scream.

Bad Horse 02:31
Back when I was young, I used to run on four legs across green-golden fields and through the forest. I used to love to run. I used to lose myself. At a lost, like a horse-race, a stomped out rider come undone. Life's so fast, one mistake; it's so hard to get our work done. Run or stop running, the sun isn't setting. Should you be settled or keep on exploring? Life isn't be boring, at least not while running, but it's about time that I made myself something. Back when I was young, I used to run on four legs across green-golden fields and through the forest. I used to love to run. I used to lose myself. At a lost, like a horse-race, a stomped out rider come undone. Life's so fast, one mistake; it's so hard to get our work done.

Ghost 02:58
Laying in a bed of clover, you say, “who's gonna keep me warm?” Any time you try to read my mind, you get born. If love is a bird or a horse in the sky, I am a fish in the dark, dark night. When I swim to the surface, there's never a purpose. You're gone. Ghost river, fog in the winter, everyone finds the egg in the tree. Rope ladders leading to the galaxy, too free to keep me out there. If I could find one, then I would have some, but none will suffice for one night. Guessing and guesses will get you perplex, but no one knows what's next. Laying in the fountain, I'll teach you to denounce him. No one is as good as you and I will be. Everyone says they know what comes next, but the ending is still one million miles away. Come here I've got books you can borrow, shuffle this deck of cards til tomorrow. The gloves and the hat never clap, and the same two colors are no where in that.

Johnny 02:27
When Johnny was good boy, he'd pack his own and stayed employed. Met his mom when he turned thirteen. He never let it turn him mean. When Johnny was a good boy, grew up alone in South Detroit. His best friend called him 'dead end.' He was smarter than his best friend. When Johnny was a good boy, he'd go to school and stay on point. Always impress the girls, they nicknamed him 'curls.' But Johnny stayed on course, he graduated and joined the Air Force, but he never let it turn him mean. He learned to pilot a flying machine. He would fly it above the clouds, and listen to his music loud. Come on Johnny, you don't need to feel so sorry. You did your job, and you did your duty. Don't be sad, you're a good boy, Johnny. And he flew the plane where ever they told him, pressed the buttons, and followed orders. Come on Johnny, you don't need to feel so sorry. When Johnny was good boy, he'd pack his own and stay on point. He flew his plane above the clouds, and listened to his music loud.

Yeti 02:40
It all falls down. Snowmen melt into the ground. You're a yeti in the mountains. You've got no friends around. And this is how it's always been. When you're a monster in mountains, this how you live. But there was a time when you used to go into town at night, and while people turned and though people stared, you never used to care. Once long ago, you had a witch of your own, who'd make magic potions and steam up your room, but you lost it all in an avalanche. Now there's some things you'll never understand, because you never ever ever ever believed in miracles.
